Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you contact us or use this website, why we use it and what your rights are.

Who we are

Tow Pro Bournemouth Limited, trading as Tow Pro Bournemouth, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 17137739. Our registered office is 15 Cobham Road, Bournemouth BH9 3AR.

You can contact us about this policy or your data by phone on 07444 863148 , or by post at the address above.

What we collect

  • Call-back and quote requests. When you use the form on this website we receive your name, phone number, location or postcode, vehicle type, any message you write, the page you sent it from, and the date, time and IP address of the request.
  • Phone calls and WhatsApp messages. When you call or message us we receive your phone number and the information you give us, such as your location, your vehicle and where it needs to go.
  • Jobs we carry out. If we recover or move your vehicle we keep the details needed to do the job and invoice it, such as your name, contact details, vehicle registration, collection and delivery addresses and payment records.
  • Website data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security. See our cookie policy for cookies.

How we use it and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your request and recover or move your vehicle — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract.
  • To keep invoices and accounting records — to comply with our legal obligations.
  • To keep the website secure and stop spam (for example limiting repeated form submissions) — our legitimate interests.
  • To understand how our website is used and measure our advertising, only if you agree to analytics or advertising cookies — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

  • Our website hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf.
  • A garage, bodyshop, insurer or other party you ask us to deliver your vehicle to or deal with.
  • Google, for website analytics and advertising measurement, only where you have consented to cookies.
  • The police or other authorities where we are required to by law.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

  • Call-back requests that do not lead to a job: up to 12 months.
  • Job and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
  • Data used to block repeated form submissions: a few hours.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Contact us using the details above and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
